On September 13, 2008, about 1 a.m. Hurricane Ike came into the Texas Gulf Coast as a strong Category 2 storm, 110 mph. The storm hit Galveston directly. The storm was huge and hit areas just west of Surfside and as far east as the Louisiana border. The devastation is widespread.
These pictures are after the storm taken in the Clear Lake & Galveston Bay area. (League City, Kemah, Clear Lake Shores, Waterford Marina, Portofino Marina, Lakewood Yacht Club, Watergate Marina)
